Christian Campaigner to Address Summit
We are pleased to announce that Tim Costello, CEO of World Vision, Australia and one of Christianity's leading voices on social & justice issues, will join the already excellent line-up of special contributors at the Strategic Leadership Consultation hosted by Next Wave International in Spain, in May.
Tim Costello plays a prominent role in national debates on issues such as gambling, urban poverty, homelessness, reconciliation and substance abuse and he is often heard via the media and in government circles challenging leaders and communities, in a very prophetic way, to engage with global issues.
His activism and leadership, plus the generosity of thousands of Australians, led to the raising of more than $100 million AUD (650 million Euros) for tsunami relief in 2005.
Mal Fletcher, founder and host of the annual event, says: 'We are honoured to have Tim taking part in what promises to be a very significant event for European church network and community leaders.'
'Tim is one of those leaders who more than matches words with actions. In Australia and beyond he is highly regarded for his energy and creativity in tackling major social problems. He also has practical, far-sighted ideas on how churches can help change societies.'
Other contributors include Bishop Michael Nazir-Ali, one of Britain's most outspoken defenders of Christian culture (live), and Dr Tony Campolo, renowned speaker, evangelical voice on poverty issues and professor of sociology at Eastern University, USA (via exclusive recorded TV interview).
Tim Costello will join the event via a live video hook-up, featuring a Q&A session.
The consultation is a summit of invited leaders of church networks, major Christian ministries and community leaders from across Europe. For more information, please contact our office by email.

Great to see the Ramalamadingdong animation again! I think your article on Debunking The Great Media Myths captures a number of the essences of why we need to adapt our styles as Christians to the way we use TV.

I appreciated reading about the great visionary, Martin Luther King Jnr, in Daily Recharge...I'm an avid follower of Recharge, finding it to be a healing and refreshing meditation.

Hi there. I watched your EDGES programme today about fear. It was very interesting and was, I thought, presented in a very intelligent way.
