Europe: A History Norman Davies
What can I say about this wonderful volume?! It's one of the all-time classics on the history of Europe, even though it was written just 10 years ago. With his enormous volume of source materials and an engaging writing style, Davies' book has surpassed any other I've read on Europe's history from ancient times through to the present. To be honest, this is a book I'm still reading, piece-by-piece, a little at a time. It's huge.
