Digital Future of Leadership
What radical changes will the next ten years bring in terms of digital technologies - and what will they mean to the way people engage the leadership process?
This intriguing question was the launching point for Mal Fletcher's session, 'Ahead of the Curve', presented at the EdgeConference for community, charity and church leaders in Adelaide, Australia in September.
The conference has established a solid reputation for bringing together diverse leaders who share a passion to improve conditions for the poor and marginalized in Australia's major cities.
Speaking alongside other well-known Australians including Tim Costello, CEO of World Vision Australia and overseas guests like Rick Shelton, church leader from the US, Mal brought a powerful future-focus to the event.
'The response to my sessions has been outstanding,' said Mal shortly before the end of the event.
'It seems people here really are starting to engage with the question: "What will the future mean for organizations and churches and how will we cope with the growing needs with which we'll be confronted in the next 10 years?"'
Mal's second session dealt with 'The City on a Hill' - helping to position the church in particular for greater influence over the next decade.
Mal's sessions drew somewhat on research conducted during the writing of The Church of 2020 and Five Big Ideas, which are available from our Webshop.
Audio and video of these sessions will be available on this site shortly.
In the meantime, catch the great two-part interview Mal did with LifeFM on the future - at the audio section of this site.

I've just finished watching your EDGES program about morals. I really enjoyed it, I feel morals are constantly being eroded away...God created sex for marriage, it's not a toy for exploitation by the media ...Keep up the good work.
