City Church Breaking Growth Records
The Planet Shakers City Church, in Melbourne, Australia continues to grow at a rapid rate, reports Mal Fletcher.
Mal was the featured speaker over a weekend during his recent speaking tour of Australia.
Many of our readers will know of the Planet Shakers conference, which takes place across Australia in January each year and the popular music CDs and DVDs which have come out of that event.
Mal has had a long association with Russell and Sam Evans, the founders of both the conference events and the church.
The church is also a major supporter of the work of Next Wave International across Europe.
The church is reportedly the fastest growing in Australia at present. Started just over 18 months ago, it now counts almost 3000 people as regular attenders.
After the sessions, Mal said, ‘This church is very close to my heart. Partly because I appreciate Russell and his vision, and partly because it is doing so well in my home city of Melbourne – a city which, for a long while, was considered a no-go area for church leaders who wanted to see rapid growth.’
‘Russell and his very committed and gifted team are helping to change that perception.’
‘The best is yet to come!’

I met Mal almost 20 years ago here in Melbourne, Australia. I studied under him at Harvest BibleCollege. It was an amazing time; I got a lot out of it. You're an inspiration Mal...

How true that we live in a disconnected society! Our Facebook friends are more likely to share our innermost thoughts than are our neighbours.

I was much blessed to hear Mal in the Portuguese Conference in January. My expectations for life were lifted up! Thank you for the good work you've done in our Church!
