NWI: GenX Conference in Australia
In early May, Mal Fletcher spoke for the Emerge Young Adults conference in Brisbane, Australia.
The conference, hosted by Jeff and Faye Marshall of Emerge Network and Brisbane City Church, brought together GenX adults from across Queensland and Australia.
Speaking after the event, Mal said, ‘There are not too many events like this one in my homeland.'
'There are youth events and events for Boomers, but not many aimed at addressing the unique talents and challenges of the so-called Generation X.'
'It was refreshing to really be able to let lose on talking about issues confronting what is, for many people, the most creative and innovative leadership generation of this present time.'
'Congratulations to Jeff and Faye and their excellent team for a great event!’
After the conference, Mal addressed Brisbane City Church, which is led by Pastor Wayne Alcorn, a long-time friend of this ministry.
The church has established a high public profile in Queensland’s capital, with a strong emphasis on community engagement and meeting social needs.
The church is growing rapidly, with plans for new church satellites across the city area.
