50 Saved of 250!
… The Trondheim Youth Alive event early in November, was not the largest Mal Fletcher has spoken at in the past 22 years. But it definitely saw one of the highest percentages of people committing to Christ for the first time.
Fifty young people from the surrounding region found Jesus that night – out of an audience of 250! The event's success was largely down to the work of Alexander Mentzoni, youth pastor at the Betel church, and teams drawn from his church and the new 21st church.
Mal said after the event, 'Alexander and his young people did an incredible job of bringing friends to the event. These events are being relaunched after a period where nothing much was happening with them. I can tell you, if they keep working as hard on every event, this city is not going to know what's hit it!'
On the same weekend, Mal spoke for good friend Karl-Axel Mentzoni at Betel and for Odd-Arve Roed at 21st, a new church. He was also able to eat with one of the heroes of his own teenage years, legendary evangelist Arthur Blessitt, who attended one of the meetings and was conducting outreaches in town.

Re the Bridgend suicides: This is a horrible tragedy for this town. The promise and excitement these young people have missed of college, getting married, children, having a career, being a grandparent, traveling the world... Where is the parental involvement in all this?

Mal, did you start out as a journalist? You are one of the most naturally gifted writers whose works I have had the pleasure of reading. I just love your succinct way of delivering words that paint a captivating picture.
